The value of data: information security and privacy

The meaning of privacy, over time, has also evolved in relation to the technological developments that have taken place since the time of Warren and Brandeis (late 19th century). Initially referring to the sphere of private life, in recent decades it has undergone an extensive evolution, coming to indicate the right to control over one's personal data. Today's meaning of privacy commonly refers to a person's right to control that information about him or her is only processed or viewed by others when necessary.

Information security is the set of means and technologies aimed at protecting computer systems in terms of availability, confidentiality e integrity of computer goods or assets.

This interconnection between Security and Privacy is what inspired us to design this route which places the value of data the centre. The course is divided into linked modules that can also be used separately.
