Auditor ed esperto di sicurezza e privacy ha pubblicato oltre 800 articoli, 25 libri e 17 opere collettive. Docente presso numerosi enti e università. Socio di CLUSIT, ISACA, BCI, ha acquisito le certificazioni o qualificazioni BS7799, ISO/IEC27001, CRISC, CDPSE, ISM, DPO, CBCI, AMBCI.
