Exploring Sustainability Reporting: GRI & ESG

The figure of the LCA Expert in a company is that of a professional who collaborates with many levels of the organisation and dialogues with his or her colleagues. With this seminar, we would like to offer an opportunity to take an in-depth look at a very topical subject: Sustainability Reporting or Sustainability Report. Here, we will not be able to avoid a comparison between sustainability reporting and sustainability rating, highlighting their differences and synergies. It will also be an opportunity to take an in-depth look at the voluntary approach and the binding legislation that is just around the corner.

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the seminar.

Carbon Archipelago: all roads lead to CO2

Clearly addressing the topic of the carbon footprint, and related pathways, sometimes seems an impossible challenge. This is why we want to propose a seminar entitled: “Carbon Archipelago”. It will be an opportunity to take a step-by-step look at the logic that links Life Cycle Thinking to vast topics such as global warming. This is a unique opportunity to explore a very topical issue and to discuss it with the experts who will lead the seminar.

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the seminar.

Tools and methods for not slipping into greenwashing

Greenwashing is a practice whereby a company, entity or institution uses misleading or deceptive messages to make its products or services appear to be environmentally friendly, sustainable or sustainable, without this being the case.

The aim is to exploit increased environmental awareness among consumers to increase sales and improve the company’s image, without making any real effort to reduce the environmental impact of their activities.

The aim of the course is to introduce the topic of greenwashing and show that it is not just a marketing issue but a complex topic that, as such, requires a comprehensive approach and the involvement of a team with different skills.

At the end of the course you will be able to analyse, by means of an evaluation check list, whether an environmental communication is correct or whether there are areas of possible greenwashing. A useful tool to evaluate your own communication and that of your competitors.

LCA 2023 Conference

This conference is dedicated to the presentation of the projects realised by the trainees of the training course for LCA Expert edition 2021-2022.

All the speakers belong to companies that have felt the need to develop new professional figures within their organisations and for this reason have joined a training project that is unique in Italy.

The LCA Expert course, in fact, sees the joint collaboration of universities and consulting companies with the aim of offering companies the tools to meet the most critical challenges in the field of environmental sustainability and combat unfair competition and greenwashing.

The content of the lectures presented testifies how the trainees gained professionalism and specific skills and how they did not limit themselves to providing the results of LCA studies and information to the technical and commercial structures of their companies.

Thanks to the training course, they were in fact able to independently develop corporate strategies for sustainability, also dedicating themselves to the development of new products based on the guiding principles of ecodesign.

Green Awareness: Sustainable Initiatives of ITER & Mapping LCA

In an era of increasing environmental awareness, it is crucial that companies commit to genuine sustainable practices and avoid greenwashing, i.e. the use of marketing and communication strategies that mislead consumers about the real environmental impact of their activities.

Our webinar will be a crucial starting point to promote a greater understanding of sustainability concepts in business.

Interlaboratory Collaborative LCA Study: Food Industry and Packaging

The webinar is proposed to offer everyone a common basis from which to start this adventure, share goals, and clarify doubts about the project. In the webinar, you will find the explanation of:

  • how to clarify the grey areas of the LCA method by applying the interlaboratory approach,
  • how the ISO 17043 standard allows us to measure the performance of the LCA practitioner and
  • how the (private) report that each LCA practitioner will receive will be structured and which will allow them to identify their own improvement path.
